88.9 WFSE Fighting Scots Radio enhances the student experience with professional training and hands-on practice. Students from all majors collaborate to produce content and deliver entertainment, news, and information for the campus and community.

88.9 WFSE – Fighting Scots Radio is Edinboro’s student-run station, streaming 24/7 and offering a dynamic mix of rock, alternative, and indie music. Along with its regular rotation, WFSE features specialty shows that highlight unique genres, voices, and perspectives from the campus community. The station also delivers local news and timely information relevant to both students and area residents. Open to all majors, WFSE provides opportunities to host shows, produce content, and gain hands-on experience with professional broadcast equipment. Students can also take on leadership roles in programming, promotions, and operations, making WFSE both a training ground and a creative outlet that enhances the student experience.

CalTimes is the official student-run newspaper of PennWest California, giving students a platform to share stories, capture campus life, and report on what matters most to our community.

Students from all majors are welcome to come and learn with us about broadcast media. CUTV is proud to be the exclusive broadcaster of Vulcan Athletics. We are PennWest Edinboro’s student-led television station. The Moving Pictures Guild unites filmmakers and photographers in a shared pursuit of artistry. The Guild is dedicated to a comprehensive understanding of photography and filmmaking, encompassing the study of its history and the practicalities of production. Members engage in lively discussions, viewings, and analyses of influential photographs and films, fostering appreciation for the media. Assuming different roles across collaborative projects, members gain practical training with equipment and software which improves creative technical proficiency. The Guild provides a nurturing environment for budding filmmakers and photographers, offering a platform for skill refinement, knowledge expansion, and cooperative endeavors.

Edinboro Clay Club is a student-run organization comprised of both undergraduate and graduate students in the ceramics program. We participate in community service through donation projects, as well as facilitating sales and bringing in visiting artists.

Clay Club is a Pennwest-Edinboro student organization comprised of both undergraduate and graduate students of the Ceramics program. Our involvements include community projects such as annual Empty Bowl Fundraisers with local food banks, various club fundraising opportunities, such as the Cup & Bowl Sale, and hosting visiting artists. Funding further supports our annual trip to the National Council of Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference. It is encouraged to take a ceramic class before joining.

Print Club is for students, faculty, and staff with an interest in printmaking. The club organizes cross-club collaborations, trips to print-related events, artist talks, and printmaking projects for members.

Printmaking club organizes educational trips to print-related events, printmaking projects and demos, and offers the opportunity for members to sell prints on and off campus. Members do not need to have a background in art or a printmaking major or minor to join.

The Spectator is PennWest Edinboro's campus newspaper, produced by students under the direction of a faculty advisor.

The Spectator is Edinboro University's campus newspaper published digitally by students under the supervision of a faculty advisor and a student executive editor. Located in Compton Hall, The Spectator started in 1935 but was not the first Edinboro student newspaper - the Normal News was printed in 1865. Through the years, The Spectator has covered a variety of stories and famous people such as President William Howard Taft in 1912 and poet Robert Frost in 1940.

WCAL 91.9 FM is the student radio station at PennWest California. All majors welcome to learn the ins and outs of radio broadcasting.

WCAL 91.9 FM is a student-run college radio station serving PennWest California and the surrounding area, including Washington, Fayette, Westmoreland, Greene, and Allegheny counties. WCAL is owned and operated by The Student Association, Inc and broadcasts 24 hours per day from the Media Suite in the Natali Student Center on the PennWest California campus. WCAL began broadcasting in 1971 from California State College as WVCS, which it continued broadcasting as until obtaining its new call-letters on March 15, 2005. WVCS stood for Voice of California State, the previous name of the college. WCAL broadcasts as a freeform music station, with a broad variety of music. Gary Smith is the advisor to the student organization.
